blessings from the most high

this evening “the most high” made an appearance at a venue… it was a reminder of the mysterious ways in which the most high operates…

a man who many would pass str8 on the street came and started talking to me saying that the man  in charge told him to come today to collect the clothes… now during ramadan i usually see an upsurge in people seeking assistance and was not at all taken a back by the situation… i expect to see people coming to see some sort of help… this one spoke to me not because i was the first in line and not that i looked unoccupied either… i did not stop what i was doing but continued to converse with the man as i was in no way able to assist immediately as i knew not who he was referring to…

what struck me tho is that i said when/if i see who he was asking for that i would definitely pass on the message… he then uttered his name… and it just happened to be that of my nephew… exactly the same way his parents call out to him as well… thing is my nephew wasnt yet at the venue so i take it as a message from the most high…

later i related the story to my nephew’s parent and they just smiled… for their interaction with this man was still to come… in a couple minutes they went to greet some friends and happened to pass the man and subsequently i heard him giving much thanks for what they had done for him… i have no idea what transpired only overhearing questions as to why this man had not eaten anything…

some may say that i reading too much into this and all that jazz but hey call me out on it… this interaction this evening has certainly reminded me of what it really means to be human and what humanity should be all about… i could have spurned the man and not have had any interest in him at all… i could have ignored him when he asked for something to drink and then when he asked what it had to eat… being picky and choosy as well… i guess it reminded me of my own struggle with religion and god…

oops i nearly neglected to thank the wifey for stepping up and handling one of the stations… hope you get the blessing too…

Generally I do not read post on blogs, but I wish to say that this write-up forced me to take a look at and do it! Your writing has been amazed me. Thank you, very nice post.
