Trinidad Tornado

not the first time that it has happened in Trinidad but it makes you wonder about the preparedness of Trinis in general and the ODPM along with the other Government agencies charged with the responsibility during and after these acts of GOD!

wonder if ‘Met officer’ MOWT Man would say what cause this… you know he knows everything about everything…

They’re weirdly beautiful, until it hits.

I think the ODPM has never been and will never be prepared. Playing catchup is a way of life.

Is Trini prepared for this? OMG!

I know we are not prepared for anything like a disaster. Look at yesterday when the traffic lights stopped near Kaydonna stopped working., not a police man could be seen for hours after. Why? Well, my feeling is they were doing some ceiling work at the St. Joseph Police Station and couldn’t come. ODPM is only part of the disaster.

shared your concern about the officers on the road way after the rain, when i passed said intersection they were on site and also at Bamboo…

first thought they weren’t directing traffic ’cause they were out investigating my Road Rage report… now that the officers have been transfered there may be some action…

I know the met office sends out these cloud burst warnings minutes before they happen and the Police Service gets them along with hundreds of other people via email. One hour after the lights went out the Police were not on site but then I don’t know the road conditions for them to get there.
