Calypso Monarch 2013

so they tried something new and moved the Calypso Monarch Finals to the Thursday they had been having the Category Finals instead and I cant say that it was for the better. The SHOW was still terribly too long. So long that yours truly went to sleep by the time eventual Monarch Pink Panther was performing his second song around midnight. I know i didnt listen to everyone but Kurt Allen was my Monarch… here are the results that i copied and pasted from another website…

So its the day after Pan Semis or the Semi final round of the Panorama competition and my facebook news feed is buzzing with posts and pictures from the event. Its no surprise that the posts about the lime and how much alcohol was consumed and how much pretty women were there, grossly outnumbers the amount of posts about the actual competition.

Bunji and Fay-Ann discuss why they arent at Intl SOCA Monarch 2013

JW was lucky enough to get them to sit down and relate why they decided against accepting the terms and conditions laid out in the contract put forward by Caribbean Prestige Foundation. Over the years i have poked fun and fatigue at the Foundation despite their ‘well intentioned’ efforts and this only aids in furthering my disappointments of their self initiated mandate. I am most disappointed considering they have a very talented lawyer on their team now. Maybe in 2014 CPF can clean up their image and win me over… even Kes realised that the MOANark isnt for him and IOK with that…
